Hi everyone, how was your week?
well, i've been thinking of giving you some tips on how to improve your wardrobe. well you know how it is, one trend from the other, we try to get the latest "must-have" of the season but later losing ourselves amongst these trends.
in everything, i try to make things easier by coming up with a "theme". whether for your party, for your house decoration, for gift-wrapping we always have to have a theme.
in the same way it is nice to recognize who we are as a person, in order to be able to express ourselves as truthfully as we could in the way we dress. sometimes, i find it odd when i see a really shy girl wearing a slutty statement on her t-shirt. i feel the logo does little justice to her fabulous-but-shy-self.
so anyway, i'd like to introduce to you polyvore. it is like an online scrapbook, that lets you collate your own group of pictures and text to come up with your theme board. or it could also be your mood board of the week.
normally i start with stuff that i like, whether it be clothes or place or an object. you better start with something that inspires you. as you go along, you'd find other pictures that would go well with your theme and eventually you'd get into a pattern. once you've finished, try to search for clothes that match your visuals. say maybe, they have the same color palettes, or has the same details. and subconciously, you'll see a part of you appearing on the said collage. i'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you'll see.
here's some sets i came across when i typed the keyword: japan
